In the early stages of the heroic journey, you as leader will form a group of committed followers and then embark with them on an adventurous course fraught with peril and setbacks, but also ripe with great leaps forward. Encounters with allies, enemies, mentors and detractors will test your resilience and make this an adventure of epic proportions.
In order to avoid unnecessary delays and dead-end traps, you will need to quickly let go of false attachment and outmoded solutions. Remember that you, as the leader, must be the first to embrace change. You must set the example or your team and the organization as a whole to follow.
To fuel your growth and momentum, make sure to focus on at least one tangible sign of progress each day. Ask yourself, “Why should I be grateful?” As you grow in gratitude, you will be more able to engage with others and help them grow to their full potential.
